Products produced by digital printing

A wide variety of products can be produced by digital presses. The three main restrictions are:

• Paper Range: Digital presses cannot use the range of papers a conventional litho press can.
• Paper Thickness: The maximum paper thickness is normally about 325gsm.
• Quality: In many cases the quality of digital print can be very similar to conventional litho presses but one should avoid large areas of solid colour and vignettes. To achieve the best results from digital printing it is advisable to use an experienced artworker with a sound knowledge of digital presses.
